PUBLICATION VTWONEN - FEBRUARI EDITION '26
Section: She Loves – Eyecatcher Sometimes you need something in your home that catches your eye — and in this case, something you actually want to touch. Noortje from MIMA previously created prints of iconic works, translated into graphic compositions with minimal color blocks. Now, together with art studio At Micks, she has also created tufted versions — and I’m a little in love. Touchable art — it doesn’t get much better than that, does it? I love the rich colors of this Frida Kahlo, but the portraits of Vincent and the Milkmaid are favorites too. Come and feel it.

MINIMALIST MASTERS
Dutch Designer Noortje Erich gives artworks by old masters a new minimalistic look.
When Noortje Erich developed the chronic illness ME and was forced to give up her job teaching visual arts, she started sketching and painting at home. Fascinated by the essence and definition of a masterpiece, she recreated famous artworks by artists such as Vincent van Gogh and Frida Kahlo in het own minimalistic style. Erich now sells her Mima Collection of 'Old Masters in a new guise' as posters and postcards.
